A piece I've had in my head for a while is using the fluted armour I was looking at for reference earlier in the project and the net/twine work. I want to mix the two as a play on spiritual and physical armour. The fluting will be represented via ceramic tiles and will be attached in the style of 'Brigandine/Scale Armour'. I really enjoy the idea of bringing together physicality and spirituality as its a common theme in my work. This project has slightly been in the making by my experiments in net making away from the cilice and this week I made twelve fluted slabs that I will use as testers to play with how I want them fired and how they will be attached together.

I have also finished my Terra Sigilatta and it seems to have worked very well but I am yet to see the fired results. I have used it on my double pot/bowl piece and have also applied it to my tester pot alongside the old Terra Sigilatta to see the comparison. I also finished my largest and in my opinion best pot yet today to add to my growing selection of pottery. In terms of print work I've printed sixteen etchings on four different types of cream material that I will begin sewing when dry. I want to somehow incorporate the metal plate into this piece to bring an armour hint into it as a link to my fluted armour work.

The aroma is something I'm really going to start pushing in the next few weeks. I've made a large batch of the oil based aroma and will soon be beginning to work on my candles which i'll be using soy wax and plan to make my own slip mould using a carved candle that is carved with the cross pattern as my base. I am going to maybe use the twine as my wick as yet another way to bring my materials together.
