'((ENHANCED)) Pattern'

 

Above is a 'reclaimed' pattern taken from a variety of Byzantine era religious paintings. I was immediately drawn to this pattern because of it's almost contemporary aesthetic and it will feature throughout my body of work. The idea behind repeating this pattern throughout is to create a new language within the other works bringing this pattern into the context of the other narratives enhances the impact by subtracting its reference to a specific location/time. This is why I have entitled the pattern implemented in my work '((ENHANCED)) Pattern'.
