'AMPULLA 1633'
'AMPULLA 1633' is a direct, modern interpretation of the coronation ampulla of Charles I (blog post 28.09.21) using glazed earthenware ceramic. Using pipe extraction, a knife for the split and simple folds this piece was created to work as a smelling 'device' for my aroma work but created its own identity as an object. The glazing choices came from my love of the 'Chameleon' glaze I've been consistently using as well as wanting to experiment with dripping as if the liquid inside has solidified to add a hint of narrative to the work.
