'VESSEL+TWINE'

'VESSEL+TWINE' came from further expansion of my vessel work. Created using glazed earthenware ceramic with jute twine detail. This piece is intended to be worn around the neck as a nod to how the original ampullae were worn but could well be displayed hung as a wall piece. I made this while playing around with knots alongside my ceramic experiments. I'm extremely happy with the shape and colour of the ceramic but I feel the knot work could be more intricate or neater. The overall aesthetic and material value of the piece works for me.
