While developing idea's surrounding the fabric I've been developing work that will be featured In the shop surrounding the themes I'm working with. I've been developing dry-point etching plates of my pots harping back to the etchings of 'Mrs Beeton's Book of Household Management' and 'The Opera of Bartolomeo Scappi' that I briefly looked at at the beginning of this project. The prints need some perfecting but are visually striking and link to past practise/modern aesthetic theme in my work. Also for the shop is a collaborative dry-point etching print using the surrealist game 'Cadavre Exquis (Exquisite Corpse)'.

I also made a new chalice for the 'St Richard' Piece. I took a new approach to this chalice by adding a decorative inside. I chose to do this as I wanted to separate the '((UNEARTHED))' work to this piece and to lift up the spiritual importance of the object. Following this decorative take on my work I've began the process of creating a series of around three vessels that will feature structural decoration as well as experimentation in using glazes. I would like the work to be matte black to bring focus on the decoration but I am trying to work out the details first. I may use a iron oxide or just a blaze brush-on glaze. This work will likely not be featured in the degree show but I'm not ruling it out. If not this work could also be featured in the shop.
